The Book Is DONE

The book is done, I finished at 3 o'clock this morning. The book and downloadable Cd are available at Zareba's Place, shown in the list of links on the right of this page. I would really appreciate it if anyone can go and have a look at my storefront and let me know what you think. Don't forget to click on the book, then click to see the back cover as well. It is a picture of me, taken at the time most of the journal entries were made.

I have never done anything like this before and I not only wrote it, but had to do the publishing as well. Lulu will simply print each copy as it is ordered, ship it, collect the money, take their large share and send me anything that is left...but I did not have to put any money up front and for that I am grateful.

I am totally exhausted and will take a couple of days to recuperate. Then it is back to work as I want to put pictures and graphics in an e-book version and make it available from here.

Thank you for any comments and suggestions on making it better.

Giving birth to a book is a tremendous investing of energy. My congratulations to you again!

My comments:

"The Walk" is a good selection for a taste of the book. It right away gives an understanding of you, your topic, and your writing skills.

The back cover is beautiful, deep, and mysterious. Draws a person in.

Front cover pic shows refreshingness and a journey of struggle simultaneously. Good cover. I would add your name to the front cover. Forget ego (and lack thereof). People want to know.

Blessings on your recuperation.

Thanks, George.

I know you understand the amount of energy that a book takes. I have only been working on it since September but it feels more like a lifetime.

I appreciate your comments. The picture is one taken by my DH, and I have always liked it. It captures an essence that often does not show in pictures. "by Zareba" was supposed to be on the front as well, I know I checked the box for that, but somehow it just didn't happen. I will check and see if it can be rectified now.

Again, thanks. I really appreciate it.

The front cover is beautiful.

I am glad to see you have a healthy appreciation for trees. :)

Beard. I come from settler stock in Ontario, Canada. I was taught to walk gently upon the earth, taking only what I need and putting back all that I can. Some of my most intelligent conversations have been with a giant old Hemlock. We have a 150 year old farm with 30+ acres of mostly bushland and a little river running down one side. Itis my sanity!

Thank you Gretchen. I am pleased you enjoy my writings.

I will also be a very frequent visitor to your blog and I hope you find time to get back to your book soon. It is exhausting but very rewarding.

Thank you Nanina. Without the support and encouragement of family and friends, it would never have been done. You are certainly one of the friends who's encouragement kept me going, one of the blessings in my life.

Hi Beard:

I'm not sure that the pictures I am posting today would qualify as tree pictures, but they are pictures of the natual wonder that I am surrounded by every day here. It is my 30 acres of valium.
