I float in the darkness of your night,
A multi-faceted diamond,
Ready to reflect your light.
You came equipped with
Only one small flashlight.

I catch your beam
With one face only
And reflect it bright.
Oh, how much you missed
In that narrow band of light.
You could have seen me clearly,

Even by candlelight.

But in that light I did see,
Truly all life ever could be,
But a supple moment passed,
The light a tiny candle cast,
And without remorse we sleep,
To find divine love so deep,
Rest for now for tomorrow awaits,
Night and day forever mates.

Wow! That call and response y'all just did was very cool. Now I forgot what I was going to say. :)

Don I really enjoy your poems bouncing of mine, feels like a continuation of the thought. Thanks so much for sharing with me.

This particular poem is the one that most people struggle with the meaning. It is great to have it understood and played on.
