Some must eradicate the wild flower weeds from their lives. Not from negativity, more from ignorance not knowing how to truely appreciate the wild ones in our midst.

In our garden is a "weed" (any plant growing where you do not want it lol) It blooms at a very inconveniently early time of day, rest of the time looks like one of those flesh eating pods. It grows where no other weed has ever dared to grow before....

BUT it grows where you can get nothing else to grow, and the bloom is soft fragile white round petals, with the deepest burgundy red in its center...almost orchid like. It blooms just 1 day very very early, but in that 1 day it gives all that it has in its being, and then sheds its courageous, tough little seeds all spring summer and fall. So there will be wild ones following in the future...

Wild things are GREAT!!
Dancing MistAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16682364.post-1134445981130531932005-12-12T23:53:00.000-04:002005-12-12T23:53:00.000-04:00Weeds grow faster and stronger, survival is what t...Weeds grow faster and stronger, survival is what they want. Weeds are just misplaced flowers, but I think the weeds grow and advance toward
Awareness faster than flowers. It always struck me that flowers were just weeds who had chosen an easy (vacation) life this time around.

Since it is my fervent wish to not have to repeat grades in this school we call life, I am content to be a weed and struggle for my growth.

...ZZarebahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15036285066771181559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16682364.post-1134438213293779432005-12-12T21:43:00.000-04:002005-12-12T21:43:00.000-04:00Thanks for coming by Swayilya. You express your feelings so beautifully.

I have always marvelled at the great zeal to grow and live that is demonstrated by plants. Tufts of green grass in a tiny crack in the pavement, trees on bare rock.....

Then, looking at a well tended flower bed reminds me that there are many people who live their lives that way, protected, nurtured, unexposed to any of life's chalenges, coming and going with hardly a ripple to mark their passing.

Growing up, weeding the vegetable garden was a constant war with crab grass (quack grass?) which will put it's roots down anywhere and find a way to survive and thrive.

...ZZarebahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15036285066771181559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16682364.post-1134437731769877082005-12-12T21:35:00.000-04:002005-12-12T21:35:00.000-04:00Thanks for dropping by, mreddie. Something I have ...Thanks for dropping by, mreddie. Something I have observed in my travels, which include some intensive gardening, is that weeds are simply flowers growing where they are not wanted. After adopting the approach that what thrives in a spot belongs in that spot, I have grown some of the finest daisies, goldenrod, queen annes lace and wild roses in the neighborhood.Zarebahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15036285066771181559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16682364.post-1134437525335714882005-12-12T21:32:00.000-04:002005-12-12T21:32:00.000-04:00It is gone now, but the Adsense ad was for a weed ...It is gone now, but the Adsense ad was for a weed killer....maybe I picked the wrong time to come out of the closet about being a weed. I have found that a sense of humor is a very necessry piece of equipment for this Journey, and laughter is invited.Zarebahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15036285066771181559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16682364.post-1134416918954886412005-12-12T15:48:00.000-04:002005-12-12T15:48:00.000-04:00Simple indeed. It's tough to bloom in my garden - only the strong survive. :)

But it is tougher still on the weeds as I hack and rip them from the ground, as their little root lungs gasp for dirt. Another :) because I need to be hacking and ripping much more to clear out my "good ground".

Thanks for stopping by the patch. ecmreddiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06866616193923580617noreply@blogger.com
